Chapter 7:
The Force of Prosperity

No doubt about it — prosperity is an exciting necessity for every Christian. There is a force involved in prosperity which explains how it operates, and how we can flow and move in the way of life God ordained for us. I sense that the heart of God is tired of his people being broke, poor, sick, in broken relationships, having no faith and no hope. He wants you to get into the flow of the force of prosperity.

God wants His people to be the example of prosperity in the earth. How is it that the world can look at how broke, poor and sick you are and how torn apart your family is and want to serve your God?  Are you living a life that can convince people that God blesses those who serve Him?  God’s message is that He is going to prosper His people so they can be examples of Him, and men will look at you and glorify God. We serve as a great witness for the Almighty God.  When people see you they see God.  God has made His people His example.  We are His voice and His manifestation, and we must learn about the force of prosperity. We do not have to be broke, poor and sick any longer.

Deuteronomy 28: 1-14 assures us that prosperity is ours:

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:

And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.

Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.

The Lord shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

The Lord shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.

And all the people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the Lord; and they shall be afraid of thee.

And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers to give thee.

The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

And thou shalt not go aside from any of the Words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.”

If we follow after God and keep His commandments, God will set us on high above all nations. He will bless us in our comings and our goings.  God will bless everything that we touch. He will make us the head and not the tail and He will make us the lender and not the borrower. Thank God now that He wants to place you in a position to loan money to others! God will even destroy your enemies.  Nothing will stand in your way. He will bless us in the city and at home.  He will even bless our pets!  God commands blessings to come upon us as long as we hearken diligently unto His Word, to observe and to do His commandments. God has orchestrated called prosperity so that the church controls the finances of the world to the extent that people come to us to borrow.
There is a supernatural force in prosperity. Even if there is something in your life that appears to be destined to fail, God will make it prosper.  The Lord was with Joseph and delivered him out of a terrible situation. God is waiting and wants to deliver you. When blessings start coming on you and overtaking you, you are experiencing the force of prosperity.  His blessings will consume you if you hearken unto His voice.  You will be so exceedingly blessed you will not be able to stand it.  Not only will the blessings come, but they will overtake you!  You have only to listen to the voice of God (Deuteronomy 28:2).

The Grass Is Greener On Your Side

God will even bless us in the field. Green pastures are nothing but fields of prosperity and God will make you lie down in them. You may have already learned that the Holy Spirit is a gentleman and that God does not make us do anything. We have our own free wills to do right or wrong.  You can take exception to this when it comes to prosperity because there is a force in action. You have no choice in the matter.  There is no option. God will make you prosper whether you want to or not. He says He will make you lie down. He does not give you a choice.  God says when you are doing my will and hearkening unto my Word, you will be prosperous.  You will prosper in all that you do because it is a force. God says if you give Him $10, He will give you a $100, and you had better take it!  Take His blessings and be thankful that you have received them.

I am convinced God wants to bless you beyond measure.  To receive blessings from God there are two other requirements tha you must meet:
     1) Believe that God exists, and
     2) Believe that he is a rewarder of those that diligently seek him.

You must believe there is a force of prosperity (Hebrews 11:6 ).  It is very important for you to believe that there is a force of prosperity. Even before God meets you and gets to know personally, He wants to bless you.  Heaven is filled with blessings that He wants to pour on us, particularly His spiritual blessings. Let me emphasize again that we can be prosperous not only in finances, but in our health, in our relationships and in any other area that needs a touch from God.

You Can Have It All

Under our covenant with God, we are entitled to many great things.  I am reminded of the story of a little girl sitting on her grandfather’s knee. Her grandfather presented her with three coins — a nickel, a dime and a silver dollar.  The little girl chose the nickel, hopped off  her grandfather’s knee and went on her merry way. She picked the least of what she was offered and left the other two coins.  Little did she know that her grandfather was offering her all three coins.

God presents His covenant to us in the same way. He offers us spiritual fulfillment, divine health, healing, proper financial gain, material wealth, and spiritual gifts, but we only grab one.  Some choose speaking in tongues and then decide that God does not want us to have sufficient finances. Others choose prosperity in health not realizing that they can have prosperity in all other areas of life as well. God wants us to stop picking and choosing and benefit from all the blessings.

God made Joseph to prosper, but in Joshua we find that we have the power to make our way prosperous.  The prerequisite is that we must be in the Word (Joshua 1:8) and If you give, it will be given back to you (Luke 6:38).

Giving is one way that will never fail us, especially in tithes and offerings.  The force of prosperity works as a result of our giving. Once you straighten out your heart and establish a pure relationship with God, then you may begin to give and expect the force of prosperity to rule in your life.  God will rebuke the devourer for our sakes (Malachi 3:11). He will not let him touch anything that is in our lives. God will prevent the devourer from touching your washing machine, your car, your body.  Our return is not always in the form of money.  The key thing to remember about prosperity is that it is having all your bills paid, having all your needs met, having peace of mind and knowing that your children are okay.

I challenge you to tithe.  Give abundantly.  Save and invest your money wisely.  Do not spend foolishly. Be a good steward over what God has given you and what He will give you. May the force of prosperity be with you.
