This is the generation that shall seek the Lord. The more I seek Him, the more I love Him, the more I am drawn to Him and the more I understand about Him. On the other hand, the more I seek Him, the more I find out I don’t know about Him and the more I found out about His secret nature.
It is now time to focus on God. It is time for the church to seek His face and to purge those things that will not profit us in our search for God. It is time to turn off the television set, hang up the phone, put down the newspaper and stop the gossiping.
If you feel that God has placed you in this appointed time for a specific purpose, then you should also feel the need to connect with God, His power and His resources. Daniel 11:32 teaches, “But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” So, as you search for God, get ready to do great exploits.
As you get to know God, you will perform acts and deeds that you don’t have the physical ability to perform, but you will perform them anyway. They will be divine acts of mastery that you could only accomplish through God. They are not of your skills, intellect or power but they are of the Holy Ghost. It is now time to tap into the miracle working power of God.
The church should be overflowing with the exploits of God. One of my earnest desires is to see a complete operation of the power of God in the earth. Why do we insist on taking people to the hospital everytime they get sick? Why aren’t the dead being raised? Why is the earth so infested with all the indications that we don’t fear God like we should? Give the people of God the chance to perform exploits. But we can only perform exploits if we know God in the manner that we should know Him.
Seeking God is the key to receiving every good and wholesome desire of your heart. God will only reward those who will diligently seek Him. How do you seek God? By reading His Word and by praying and meditating. You must know God. The knowledge of God is not something that you are born with. It takes a purposed heart to get to know God. You must develop an awareness of God on your own. You will not perform miracles unless you know the Miracle Worker.
There is a lot of knowledge of God, but do we really know God? Many people are familiar with God, but they don’t really know Him. You cannot learn God overnight. It takes a single-minded, diligent, concerted effort to learn the intimacies of the Almighty.
Our knowledge of God is always partial and limited. Until we meet Him in glory, we will never see the whole picture of God. The knowledge of God is wonderful, and it is so high that we cannot always attain unto it (Psalm 139). God’s greatness is unsearchable (Psalm 145:3). Great is our Lord, and of great power. His understanding is infinite (Psalm 147:5). Romans 11 teaches that His judgements are unsearchable and His ways are past finding out.
Although you may never fully know God, your knowledge of God can still increase. God will appreciate the diligence you display as you search for Him. As you increase in the knowledge of God, He will increase your blessings and His presence in your life. I have made up my mind that, whatever it takes, I am going to find God. Won’t you make that same decision? The choice is yours.
